What’s New in the Tata Punch CNG Facelift?

Tata is expected to launch the Punch CNG Facelift by July 2025 in the Indian market

In terms of pricing, the facelifted model is likely to be priced between ₹7.30 lakh and ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks a slight increase over the current model’s ₹7.30 lakh to ₹9.68 lakh range, which is justified by the host of new features and design changes.

Earlier we have seen a completely new design in the Tata Punch EV. It is most likely to continue with the ICE version too. 

Fresh Exterior Design

The facelift brings a modern and sharper look inspired by the Tata Punch.ev. Key exterior updates include:

  • A new front fascia with split LED headlamps and connected LED DRLs.

  • A revised grille and bumper, giving it a sportier and sleeker appearance.

  • Redesigned LED tail-lamps, updated rear bumper, and an integrated spoiler.

  • New 16-inch alloy wheels and dual-tone color options for added flair.

Tata Punch CNG Facelift interior ?

Inside, Tata might go a step ahead to enhance the premium feel. For this, The upcoming Tata Punch Facelift is expected to get :

  • A redesigned center console with new premium upholstery.

  • Rear AC vents, improving comfort for back-seat passengers.

  • A new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo.

In terms of features, the upcoming micro SUV is most likely to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Automatic climate control and a 6-speaker sound system.

Also it can also get 10.25-inch driver’s display, Wireless phone charging, C-type charging ports, and iRA connected car tech.


CNG-Specific Enhancements

The Tata Punch CNG facelift continues with its efficient twin-cylinder iCNG setup, where two 30-liter tanks are placed under the boot floor. This smart design preserves the boot space (366 liters), making it one of the most practical CNG cars in India.

Other highlights include:

  • Single ECU for smooth switching between petrol and CNG.

  • Direct CNG start, low fuel alerts, and robust safety measures like gas leak detection and a micro-switch that cuts off ignition if the fuel lid is open

Under the hood, the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder engine will be present that brings the CNG output of 72 bhp and 103 Nm and Petrol output of 88 bhp and 115 Nm.

Currently, the CNG version comes only with a 5-speed manual, but the facelift might offer a 5-speed AMT, just like the Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT models.
